Personal Statement Dr. John Thomas is a fellowship trained advanced laparoscopic surgeon. He has done many gastric resections, pancreas cyst drainage, removal of spleen, colon removal for cancer and many other procedures laparoscopically. Furthermore, he has completed the necessary training required by the American Society for Bariatric Surgeons to perform laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery.
