When I sleep at night, if I bend my arms while sleeping and keep them in same position, I wake and my arm and hands are numb. Do you know if that is just poor circulation? It's gotten worse instead of better, like the achy body while sleeping?
Numb arms and hands are a common problem with people of all sizes and shapes. It usually is caused by sleeping in a position that puts pressure on a nerve, or occasionally, on an artery. Skinny people and overweight people seem to have this more often than average weighted people, but even the average weighted people have it. There are other, less common, causes such as overactive autonomic nerves, arterial narrowing or blockage. To find out you would need to see your doctor.
